LLF Announces 2020-2021 Grants

In September, we were proud to announce our list of research grant recipients for 2020-2021. The seven investigations represent research into some of the most important health issues of the day.

The list also includes our first-time midyear grant, awarded in June 2020, for research into prognostic indicators of COVID-19 disease.

LLF Sponsors Successful Grand Rounds

On September 24, 2020, the Longer Life Foundation sponsored Internal Medicine Grand Rounds at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Alumnus LLF grantee Stephen Oh, M.D. Ph.D., presented a fascinating talk about his research, "JAK 2 The Future: Updates in the Biology and Treatment of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms".

Fall Advisory Group Meeting

The Longer Life Foundation's Fall Advisory Group Meeting will be held via Zoom on November 10, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM CST.

The highlight of the meeting will be research updates by three of our alumni grant recipients. This will be an opportunity to hear from Bettina Mittendorfer, Ph.D., Director, Longevity Research Program, Josh Mitchell, M.D., FACC, and Meredith Jackrel, Ph.D., about the progress they are making in their research as a result of LLF support.

There will also be a preliminary discussion about emerging research topics for LLF's 2021-2022 grant year.
